Magnus Chase and the Ship of the Dead : Spoiler Free Review

Hey lovelies! ☺

I finished the Magnus Chase series yesterday and I thought I would post a review about the last book! 🎉

Rating : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

SummaryMagnus Chase, a once-homeless teen, is a resident of the Hotel Valhalla and one of Odin's chosen warriors. As the son of Frey, the god of summer, fertility, and health, Magnus isn't naturally inclined to fighting. But he has strong and steadfast friends, including Hearthstone the elf, Blitzen the dwarf, and Samirah the Valkyrie, and together they have achieved brave deeds, such as defeating Fenris Wolf and battling giants for Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. Now Magnus and his crew must sail to the farthest borders of Jotunheim and Niflheim in pursuit of Asgard's greatest threat. Will they succeed in their perilous journey, or is Ragnarok lurking on the horizon? ❤

Personnal review : This book was so entertaining! It took me a while to read it because I was so busy, but everytime I went into it, I had no problem getting back in the story! There’s action, drama, funny jokes (well duhh, it’s Rick Riordan) and even an LGBT ship!  If you don’t know, Norse mythology is all about the Vikings, the gods Thor, Loki, Odin to name some. There’s also these nine worlds and a place called Valhalla, where a certain number of people go after they die. I find it so interesting to learn about new mythologies and learning from Rick Riordan’s book makes it even better. Magnus Chase was kind of a new Percy Jackson for me! I love this new main character almost as much as Percy. He is funny, loyal, brave… Everything you want in a main character! Overall, I LOVED this book and trilogy, and would love to re-read it eventually. I’m hoping we’ll get to see more of these characters in other of Rick’s books! 💖

What I liked the most about the book? I absolutely loved Rick Riordan's chapter names! They are hilarious and I laugh out loud almost everytime I read one!😂

Other books by Rick Riordan that you should definitely read : Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Heroes of Olympus (they are five books series)! 🙈

Thank you for reading, I really appreciate it! 😋
